Islam and Other Religions

Islam and Other Religions

One of the eternal facts is that Islam has absorbed all previous civilizations and religions and brought the best of them, and the Holy Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of God be upon him, came to believe the messengers in his hands, Almighty said:

 وَالَّذِي أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْكَ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ هُوَ الْحَقُّ مُصَدِّقًا لِمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بِعِبَادِهِ لَخَبِيرٌ بَصِيرٌ
(31 سورة فاطر ، آية )

(And what He has revealed to you from the Book is the truth, believing what is in His hands, for God is His servants for a good expert.)

(They said: O our people, we have heard a book that was revealed after Moses, believing that between his hands, he is guiding to the truth and the right to the right of Allah)

The realities of the Koran timeless also that oneness and Alohadih be divine exclusively for the same, and that diversity and plurality and difference universal divine year in all other than the divine self, he says:
وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ خَلْقُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَاخْتِلَافُ أَلْسِنَتِكُمْ وَأَلْوَانِكُمْ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِلْعَالِمِينَ
( 22 سورة الروم ، آية)

(And among His Signs created the heavens and the earth and the different tongues and Olwankm the verses of the worlds)

And in Islam, the Messenger of God, peace, and blessings be upon him, enacted three years embodying Islam's vision of the religious last, and how Islam does not only recognize the religious other but rather makes it part of the nation and the state, has all rights and has all duties.

1. The first of these Sunnahs - a model for the relationship with the Jewish Other - is the newspaper that the Messenger of God, peace, and blessings of God be upon him, but after the emigration, and the main axes of this newspaper revolve around equality and justice between the parties in the framework of the nascent nation and the early days of the new state.

2. The second of these Sunnahs - a model for the relationship with the Christian Other - is the document that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, laid down for the Christians of Najran a covenant between the fledgling Islamic state and the Christians. : The neighborhood of God, the edema of Muhammad, the Messenger of God, on their money, themselves, their religion, their absentee, their witness, their clan, their sale, and all that is under their hands, from few or many, that I protect their side, and I will sacrifice them, their churches, their sale, their homes of prayer, the places of monks, and the places of tourists. And to guard their religion and their religion, wherever they are, by what I keep myself, mine and the people of Islam from because I gave them the covenant of God that they have what the Muslims have, and they have no obligation over the Muslims, and the Muslims do not have to ... so that the Muslims have partners in what they have and what they have! ”
It is clear to us from the newspaper text that Islam recognizes the other, accepts it, honors it, merges with it, and respects its privacy.

3. And the third of these Sunnahs - a model for the relationship with the people of positivistic religions - was during the reign of Omar bin Al-Khattab, may God be pleased with him, when he presented the matter of treatment of owners of positive religions to his advisers at the Prophet’s Mosque. He said: “They encompassed the Sunnah of the People of the Book” (see Al-Balazari, Fattuh al-Balad, p. 327) The people of positivistic religions were treated like the writers throughout the history of Islamic civilization.

Human Rights

Islam is the only religion, and it is an invitation to all people; It absorbed all the boredom and other laws in its legislation, and the Creator, glory be to Him, enacted human rights. These rights exceeded everything that human thought produced in its human rights legislation, on the one hand, and on the other hand, it met with what mature human thought reached in its human rights legislation.

Islam has honored man, the Almighty said:

(70 وَلَقَدْ كَرَّمْنَا بَنِي آدَمَ   (سورة الإسراء ، آية

(And He honored us the children of Adam)

These rights can be summed up in the following elements:

The Right to live
Islam was forbidden to attack it. The Almighty said:

(He who kills a person without a soul or corruption in the land as if he killed all of them and whoever lives it.)

The Right of Freedom
The Almighty said:

(There is no compulsion in the religion of majority has found it canceled atone idols and believes in Allah hath grasped the most trustworthy inextricable and Allah is Hearing, Knowing)

The Right to Justice:
The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “All of you are for Adam, and Adam is from dust. There is no preference for an Arab over my Ajami and no for my anger against an Arab except for Piety.”

Beautiful Aspects that make Islam Superior

There are countless situations to confirm that the relationship of Islam to the other is based on tolerance, justice, and respect for its rights.
From this, the Holy Qur’an affirmed that the difference of religion should not be a cause of injustice or oppression and that if there are hostile parties and we have a quarrel with them, then all of this must be removed from the requirements of justice, the Almighty said:

وَلَا يَجْرِمَنَّكُمْ شَنَآنُ قَوْمٍ عَلَى أَلَّا تَعْدِلُوا اعْدِلُوا هُوَ أَقْرَبُ لِلتَّقْوَى وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ خَبِيرٌ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ
( 8 سورة لمائدة ، آية)

(And no people will criminalize you for not modifying it. Moderately, it is closer to the pious and fear God.)

As long as Muslims and non-Muslims have invoked the Islamic judiciary, justice has imposed itself without distinction between the parties to the disputants. Dozens of practical positions in the history of Islamic civilization attest to this, including the position of Amr bin Al-Aas, may God be pleased with him, when he was the ruler of Egypt during the reign of the Caliph Al-Rashid Omar Bin Al-Khattab God for him, his son clashed with one of the Egyptians, and the authority of his father tempted him and struck the man, and Egypt was a modern-day in the era of conquest, and it is expected that the wretched son of the conquering leader who defeated the largest country in the land and threw his army in the White Sea was killed, but the victim was humanized in Islam and his rule is This is what he descended from, so he swore to report his complaint to the Commander of the Faithful Umar, may God be pleased with him, but the boy who struck him found foolishness in this and said to him: Do, your complaint will not harm me, I am the son of the Generous!

And while Omar bin Al-Khattab was between his own and Amr bin Al-Aas and his son in his Majlis, and the city was full of delegations during the Hajj season, the oppressed Egyptian presented to Omar: O Commander of the Faithful, this - he pointed to Ibn Amr - hit me unjustly, and when I promised him to complain to you he said: Do, Your complaint will not harm me, I am the son of the generous!
Omar bin Al-Khattab looked at Amr bin Al-Aas with a view of disapproval and said this great word to him: “When did you enslave people when their mothers gave birth to them free ?!” Then he went to the complainant, took his whip, and said to him: Hit the son of the noble as he beat you!
Omar of Islam was fair to this ruling.

Among the practical positions that confirm that Islam is a religion based on tolerance in the treatment of the other, and on respect for the bonds of humanity that unite all of Adam’s sons:

What Al-Bukhari narrated from Jaber, may God be pleased with him, he said: We passed a funeral, and the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, rose to her, and we rose up, so we said: O Messenger of God, it is a Jewish funeral! And he, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “Is it not a soul ?!”

Sufyan narrated on the authority of Hammad bin Abi Suleiman on the authority of al-Sha`abi that the mother of al-Harith bin Abi Rabi`a had died while she was a Christian, and the Prophet, peace, and blessings of God be upon him, had spread it.

And the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, recommended to the dhimmis. He said: “They have what we have, and they have what we have, and whoever harms a dhimmi, I was his opponent on the Day of Resurrection.”

And Zaid bin Sa`nah - who is one of the rabbis of the Jews - he had loaned the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, a loan that he had needed to fill a defect in the affairs of a group of people with their hearts. May God’s prayers and peace be upon him - So I took his shirt and garment collections and looked at him with a thick face, and I said to him: O Muhammad, do you not judge me my right? By God, I did not teach you, Abdul Muttalib built only a look, and I had a knowledge of you!

So Omar looked at me with his eyes spinning in his face like around astronomer, and then he hit me with his eyesight and said: O enemy of God! You say to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, what I hear, and do what I see with it ?! And the one who has my soul in his hand, had I not warned him, he would have missed the sword of your head.
And the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, looked at me in silence and performed. He said: “Omar, I and I needed more than this, to order me to perform well and command him with good followers. Go with it, Omar, and give it more than twenty saa from a place where you have pasted.

Zaid said: So Omar went to me, so he gave me my right, and he increased twenty times from Tamr, so I said: What is this increase, Omar?
He said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, instructed me to increase you in the place of your pastures.
The intimidation of a Jew harmed the author of the message, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, with his tongue and hand.

The truth is that Islam closes all doors to a slave of creation who underestimates the destiny and rights of others.
